Since I was a child, I have loved miniatures. I created all the little miniature accessories for my Barbies and dawn dolls and kiddles in the 70s. I still feel like a child when I am creating pieces like this. My mushroom cottages are fully sculpted out of paper clay. They take several weeks to get just right. I have also employed decoupage and hand painting on the interior and trims. As well as hand painting some of the miniature furniture. This dollhouse does come with the accessories you see except the little bee doll. She’s a piece I made over 10 years ago. If you would like to order a custom miniature doll for her, you can send me a message. The rug was a last-minute addition and I’m super happy with it. It is also removable if you would like to change it out for something else.
These houses come unattached to their bases as you can see in the photo. The lids come off so that you can turn the light on and Off. And I decided to leave the bases unattached as well so that you could actually play with us like A real dollhouse. Although the items on the fireplace mantle are glued down.
This is not intended for children so please this is an adult only toy. Small hands might be too rough.
The larger one is close to a 1:12 scale And is about 12 inches tall at the chimney., but not really quite And the smaller one is probably closer to 1/24 scale. But also not quite.
If I decide to make them again, I might make their scales more accurate. They weren’t insanely labor-intensive, so I’m not really sure that I will re-create them again.
