I designed my very first Marie Antoinette Doll in 2016. I have made over 100 of these dolls for customers. Three years ago, I retired from making them, but recently, a sweet collector gently pleaded with me to make her one. I had so much fun making this Marie mermaid for her they it Inspired me to redesign the original one with the glass base.
This listing is for a custom Memail Marie of your own. Her hair will be a slightly different shade of pink, but I mean slightly. One of the reasons these dolls became a challenge for me to make was sourcing the materials.
This is the first design I will be offering and look for other designs, forthcoming. They will be quite over the top and not have glass cloches.
This Marie is quite tall, about 16 inches. Because of this she has to ship in a rather large box that I triple layer to protect her and I have found from Southern California to Wisconsin. The shipping was $27.
Due to my site not calculating shipping properly, I’m adding $30 to the base price of $285. So shipping appears free at the checkout. If for some reason when I ship your doll and shipping is grossly under the $30 I've added to the price, I will refund any overage greater than $3. When I made the dolls before I lost money on shipping virtually every single time. Add on the cost of boxes and materials which I never charge for and it just gets to be too much of a loss.
This particular Marie mermaid has a hand sculpted tail, and the pink seahorse in her hair is also sculpted by hand. Noticed the tiny hand painted roses on the little seashell at the base. The turnaround time for this Doll is four weeks.
