Mushie on the Moon

My Mushie Babies are a combination of several designs that I have done over the years. The doll is a little smaller than the standard Kewpie I use. But I love their little faces. The little wood arms are meant to hold little trinkets. They can hold earrings, but just not your standard fish wire. Only larger French wires or hoops. Many years ago I did full-size dolls with  arm post like this for displaying jewelry. They were called bling babies and I made hundreds of them.

These Spring Babies are closer to my heart than just about anything I have ever created. Each is unique and combines my love of a cute baby/toddler, flowers, mushrooms and the moon. Each piece is comprised of a vintage doll, lovingly given a new life, with a combination of paper/stone clays, wood, wire, apoxie clay, vintage tidbits, paint & hours of labor having to be done in many stages and layers to achieve the colors and finish I desire. Each piece is signed and dated on the bottom and sealed with two different hand applied varnishes.

A little note about shipping. In the event shipping over charges you, I do refund. The calculator can be fussy at times. I also do combine for multiple purchase and refund overages for that as well.
